Hello and welcome to my website. In the paragraphs below, I want to tell you a little bit about me, about my practice, and about how I work with people who come to see me.
I’m a psychologist with over 30 years experience helping people. I work with individuals and couples who are experiencing depression and anxiety, who want to have better and more fulfilling relationships, or who are dealing with other challenging times in their lives.
I work with people to help them learn the “whys” about their concerns and to change the long-time patterns of behavior that have been problematic for them. We do this by working together in a collaborative process to understand what led to current challenges, to learn how aspects of the past continue to play out in the present, and then to begin the process of making the changes necessary to have a more satisfying life going forward.
The process of change isn’t a “piece of cake.” It takes commitment, hard work, the willingness to look at oneself honestly, and the courage to take the steps necessary to make desired changes. A supportive relationship – a good “fit” – is key to a successful therapy process, and that’s what I hope to create with those who work with me. Together we’ll work to gain the type of understanding necessary for people to reach their therapy goals, and in the process learn how to continue living more satisfying lives.
